Not the entire server is gonna do that, so many plots will be left open.

Then someone else gets a house, it just happens to be their fc mate? That also requires the other person to have gotten through the queue and to the old plot before someone else come darting up to the new plot to either snipe it or force the move. On busy servers no one's going to wait for their friend to get through the queue if their desired plot is available.

I am so glad I got a house in Gridania, I can sit out the house rush this time around. I am happy where I am at.

Honestly, I hope they offer Free Company server transfers first. Leave the housing go for a few months, get the servers taken care of first.

Why bother wasting a ton of money on an FC house on a high-pop server when you could transfer?

Also, it's kinda of a d move to players on that high pop server.

I figure everyone and their FC gonna make a dash for the housing plots on that same day.

My FC agrees to let me have the old mist plot if we manage to move to Kugane. But that is too much risk. They have to get the big plot and I have to get into mist in time.

I stalked housing boards for two-three weeks and got a mid for myself.

Seriously, check housing boards every hour if you can. I have personally spotted at least 6 small plots and 1 large plot. Some of these went unsold for over an hour! Hell, I relinquished my small plot and bought a mid one. And I stood around for half an hour while my FC buddy came online to buy my old plot.

Before you say "dead server", I'm on Behemoth.

It has been easy to get a house on Behemoth - you are correct in just need to stalk the boards every hour...I've owned several over time in different places. I just relinquished this characters Mists medium to prep for Shiro rush...I wanted my gil back (rather than losing it moving) especially since it was more than the plot was currently worth.
