Feedback on 4.0 Scholar

-Revert the changes to Adloquium Mp increase or increase it's potency, as Astrologian's Aspected Benefic is better all the way around. While I'm aware it too had it's Mp increased, it's better all the way around so that makes sense. But to increase our Mp cost on Adloquium when it's worse in every aspect compared to Aspected Benefic doesn't make sense.

-Give all three healers Esuna back as part of their core class kit, or a variation of it. (You created cool role skills like Rescue that healer's can't even use because 4/5 are 100% required, being Esuna, Protect, Swiftcast and Lucid Dreaming because you nerfed Aetherflow. Give healers some of those back in their kits naturally, so they can actually use and put to use the new cool role skills you made like Rescue.

-Remove Chain Strategem and Provide Scholar with another healing or mitigation skill. If you revert the core DoT changes to the kit, I'd even be fine seeing this skill being removed entirely or nerfed to like 5% too.

Unfortunately, i don't think increasing the range on fey union is going to help. For example, if they increased the range to 25y... if you cast it from 24y away, then the tank moves, it still breaks. It does need to have a greater "effective" range, but just increasing the base range of the spell won't fix the issue.

Also, please remove the aetherflow requirement from sacred soil... I really want to use the ability, but can't rationalize using an aetherflow stack on it compared to the other abilities.

Just a quick reply to those saying they love the new scholar...

Please try whm or ast. I remember while levelling my ast in dungeons, I would actually get into a bad habit of not checking my mp - even when spamming gravity/ combust / malefic / benefic II etc. The reduce mp costs was very noticeable in comparison to sch and I had the luxury of always having mp. Earthly star is a fun little mechanic - costs no mp for 60s (big heals and dps). It is usually up for all add pulls, because the skill activiates itself after 20s it can sometimes be a guessing game as to when best to place it in boss fights for maximum reward - but the extra dps is still worth it. you can actually spam gravity while its up and if the tank drops you can activate for the heal and the dps. I also don't think the 200 (dps) potency scales on this skill like with bane/gravity/holy.

Scholar can get through the content (just like the 3.0 ast could have - actually did the HW story with the pre-buffed ast) and to be honest I am sensing a pattern here - it's like SE is deliberately "over-nerfing" or erring too much on the side of caution so they can get feedback from the community and then adjust...

Scholar can heal, and it has tools to dps etc just like the other healers BUT the other healers can just do it better right now. Scholar definitely has mp management issues - I feel if you have not had mp issues then please tell me what you are doing?

I really think scholar is stuck between a rock and a hard place right now - it doesn't have the potencies to really be considered the main healer (it also doesn't have the regens of whm/ast outside of the fairy (embrace) /whispering dawn). It may have some tools to be an off healer, but these tools seem very fragmented and due to the mp issues you are actually punished for dpsing.

The fact that the fairy heals less now at level 70 while everyone has more hp than what it did at level 60 in HW I find really problematic. They nerfed the fairy in HW and I felt that was the correct balance. Sadly I think it's scholars turn to be left out of (raid) parties - whm and ast had their turns...

Lustrate, Indom, Excogitation, and fairy abilities are all independent of Largesse, which only effects Physick, Adloquium, and Succor.

WOW thank you for opening up my eyes to this inconsistency. i am not more distraught.

I wanna know why SE has not given us any feedback. Its not like AST where the design and gameplay were new, so they could see how it might need adjustments. SCH was already good, its gameplay was good and they broke it. It's clear you can adjust and seperate SMN and SCH, please just do it if that's the "reason" it now sucks to play.

Because now SCH plays more like WHM and AST than ever, so you can help give feedback for those classes as well.

Fey Union on top of needing a bit of a potency buff could easily be made into "Fairy links to target player and remains within 10yalms of them." AKA the fairy follows the person at a distance.
