You can pretty much assume anyone that does floor 50 is a noob. Anyone who runs it for xp knows resetting to 51-60 is where its at. Its rare to see anyone that has passed 50, doing 50.

Simple, people are speedrunning and not opening chests to get their (or others) aetherpool gear up. I actually had one guy get upset at me for doing this and I just laughed at him.
I've started PotD since I'm leveling a third job, and the speed runners who have their gear pretty much ruin it for newbies who need to get stronger so when they get to the last floor even the trash hits hard.
Even if people fail mechanics, they wont take such hard hits if their aetherpool stats are high enough.
Been doing a lot of random 1-50 runs the last 2 weeks since I wanted to bring all jobs to 30. In my experience there is always at least one guy (often even all 3 other guys) in the group who has no idea how this boss works, no matter how high their aethers are or how much they rush.
After wiping at her a few times due to other peoples cluelessness I've made a habit out of asking if everyone knows the boss once we enter floor 49, and I've written a macro with a short explanation.
Have not had a wipe on floor 50 ever since.
that isn't the 50 boss though
wait nvm im wrong thought u meant the 60 boss sorry.
Without a healer, you're on a strict DPS race to win (made worse if you don't have a Pomander of Lust).
Without a tank, you'd better pray that the person with the highest enmity has a good stock of healing potions.
Just because the gaze mechanic is in earlier floors, doesn't mean people understand how they work (just because you get hit by the Cobra's petrify, doesn't mean you understand why it happened).
She also has this annoying habit of using In Health and In Sickness back-to-back, so as soon as you reach one extreme, you have to run to the other.
I feel like she has a party-wide splash damage attack, but can't really confirm it.
Probably the worst thing to happen is for her to use her "get close" mechanic at the same time the bonus telegraphs show up, since it can leave you with nowhere to stand, because one of those telegraphs covered up the boss.
She has one undodgeable room wide attack that deals very little damage (if you're not stuck at very low aether armor levels, or whatever its called in english) and does not activate a rune on the ground. It is also the only thing that can't be dodged, so it is a rather easy DPS race. :p
That I can confirm, I had no idea what the eye was when I did her for the first time.
I was something like level 25 or so and I had never seen that mechanic outside of the palace, and the enemies on the lower floors that use "the eye" can also be dodged the normal way (you can either dodge or turn away)
