I actually look forward to playing as Samurai although the moves does appear "flashy" it fits somehow with that job and samurai just looks fun.

SAM reminds me of MNK from 2.0 which means Ill level SAM in 5.0.
Completely satisfied. I love that we get something more along the lines of this.

And not another case of a crate of fireworks blowing up in your face.
i want samurai no explosive fantasy vomitting sword fencer
so i am fine and gonna main it
I like that rater than exaggerated effects. Did you see the new Venomous Bite from Bard? Why change that animation to a huge purple shit? This kind of effects should be smaller in order to avoid the amount of shit on screen, and reserve big explosions for Limits, special skills and that. not for normal attacks (GC weaponskills and spells which you spam all the time).
I like it, reminds me more of the Samurai movies and less like how anime portrays Samurai battles.
It doesn't appear to be anything new or amazing in any way, but it looks like it will stand its own to me.
Admittedly, the sen-consuming skill animations could be a little larger or more stylish, but I'd hate to be any less able to see my target as a result.
I already have to limit animations to see my targets. I'd rather be able to see and identify them easily without them being so large or, especially, opaque as to obscure the target.
I really love the clean, unflashy style so far too; probably gonna take it over ninja as the new swift, simple melee. It reminds me of old samurai films and I guess in ff terms is more similar to the more toned-down ff6 characters. Square haven't shown any of the more complicated move abilities yet but at least it's definitely not a 123 masher.
