New Pug

I'm gonna try Silver Tricorn + INT IV (missing one class for maat cap H.Q)

Anyone considered Raptorskin Pot Helm? Int +2, Accuracy +5, Fire resistance +10. It also has the advantage of easier to get materials to craft it, meaning it will be easier to multi-meld several INT materia in it.

Messed around with PUG a bit on Ifrit.

Fists of Earth does increase your autoattack damage quite a bit, but MP draining at 30 MP per punch means that you cannot sustain it for very long. I think it's best to auto attack without the buffs until 3k TP, then turn on Fists of Earth and do your combos. Turn it off to regain TP as your recast timers cool down.

Howling fist damage was around 550 with Fists of Earth up. Simian thrust totals around 400. Other WS do around 150.

I know that I was doing 850+ damage on Moogles with Howling fist combo though (unbuffed and no stances on)

953 on moogles here (blindside, no stance). Biggest problem for me atm is server lag. I keep on being "too far away from the target" even though i'm already up a mob's ass. That or combos not firing cause the mob rotated away server side but not client side.

I do this with fists of fire and its good practice. Also when your rocking 3000 tp, toggle that stance, fire off the first 2, FULL BUFFS+KEEN FLURRY, howling fist. rinse and repeate so you get 2 HUGE heavy hitting t3s, then toggle it off and start the roatation over. On moogles last night i was hitting regularly for over 1200+ dmg and in the games current state we are stand alone the HIGHEST SINGLE TARGET DPS in the game. I am beyond happy with the current state of pugs, our utility and rescource management mechanic is fun and our damage when geared/materia/statted correctly is AWSOME. PGL/MNK will forever be my main and only class I enjoy. .........................until THF or NIN appears!

I got a 1900 crit with Howling fist on a 49 raptor, without using fist. Was just messing around. I do enjoy pug more now and really can't wait for the fist of wind. We may be able to evasion tank at that point.

THM is still the king of burst dps but pug is up there.

Yup. However when THM runs out of MP, PGL is still going strong. :D

I'm new, with a few questions.

How long did it take you guys to reach level 50?

Can I solo well as a PUG?

Depends on the method of leveling.
If solo 1-2 months or more, if party about 1-2 weeks, If you have PL 2-3 days (Although I don't know how well PL works these days.)
