I don't think he is being oppressive and is just asking a expressing a logical perspective, try not to take it out of context. In addition to this thread SE can perhaps add more glamor that can make SOME glamor equal. I think some glamour should stay individual for the sake individuality. Perhaps , being that they sell glamor gear in Mog Shop, add most sought out pieces for a reasonable price. In no way, shape, or form am I against equality. However there are too many trolls out there that take it way to far and ruin the game.

The animal PVP sets are some of my very favourites in the game. You have hyper-masculine armour options and super-cute dresses all in one range, and if you don't like any of them you can just glamour something else on top. Love them or hate them, there's so much creativity in each of the designs. Far more so than most gear sets. Every single time I go to a starter city in my BLM gear I get /tells from new players praising it and asking how to earn it!

That looks so cool on your Elezen! I've never actually seen one wear that before, just Miqo and Roe. Elezen's long legs really make the boots stand out, IMO, I love it. The PVP animal sets are also some of my favorites, though I know they're pretty controversial appearance-wise - I use the double bear-head helm on my WAR and it always funny to see the ninja inspects in Idyllshire. I wish we had more truly unique gear like that in the game, even if it's just once in a while.

In context it sounded as though you wanted to shut down those who liked androgynous men (whether they're gay males, straight females or somewhere else on the grand scale of human preference). As a simple question on its own, it's fine. I don't want to presume to speak for the other people in this thread who like the aesthetic since there are probably a thousand different reasons for it, but in my case I like 'boyish' women and also 'effeminate' men every bit as much as their more conventional equivalents. Plenty of straight men openly like tough women, and this isn't even questioned, but for some reason the converse is still considered shocking in 2017 despite pretty boys being key to a multi-billion dollar global industry spanning video, music and art. Go figure.

It's easy to understand why straight men like tall, powerful women. They're sexy, commanding, often voluptuous and they let a man feel taken care of. Why, then, is it so strange to think that straight women (or some gay men) might like the opposite? Just because a guy is scrawny, short, slender or sensitive doesn't make him less of a man; why does the physical aesthetic and configuration of their private parts have to be inextricably linked? Everyone knows that many girls grow up swooning to skinny guys caked in makeup crooning ballads in music videos, yet it's considered unthinkable that the women (and gay men) might actually like the aesthetic balance they aim for. Society has historically been heavily male-dominated and this is still (anachronistically) regarded as more important, but plenty of people enjoy combining the rough appeal of masculinity with the trappings we've historically used when decorating our females for the benefit of men. If it looks good on a good-looking woman, it will usually also look good on a good-looking man.

FFXIV shows us that handsome men can come in all shapes and sizes, from burly Roegadyn and Highlanders who encompass traditionally masculine appeal to willowy, angular Au Ra and Elezen through to more cute-looking male Miqo'te and Lalafell. Players aren't warned when they make their character and become attached that picking the female option unlocks access to extra benefits; that's not the game S-E intended to make. They've proven this by listening to our concerns on several occasions. The mysterious male bunny suit, the unlocking of a set of illogically-locked gloves and the cash shop imbalance are all examples of their willingness to address the issue; before that, opening up Eternal Bonding for everyone and spending a huge amount of time creating the extra race/sex combinations way back when certain options weren't available showed their commitment to diversity.

Thread needs less RL gender policing and more cute pictures.

Gambler's attire. It was so nice when they allowed female characters to use this as it gave us something that wasn't fanservicey or a fanservicey edit of a male attire.

I support more options for both genders.

Personally, I wouldn't use the female stuff on a male character... But I don't see why if someone really wants to use them shouldn't be allowed to.

The only real reason I see for making gender specific glamour items is the extra time it takes to make a second set of models for them, and unless they hire more people to work on that it would probably mean less new items or stuff that doesn't look as great.
