Wow. The fact that anyone actually replied and tried to justify this or even suggest it's even okay is genuinely surprising.
The fact of the matter is that you're all babying him because he's a DPS. Had a tank, or rather both tanks, been wearing i110 weapons it would be physically impossible to clear. There is no tank in the world who could keep hate off a DPS who has a proper weapon for lv60 content while they used an i110 weapon. Now I know that people say, "but since they cleared that's okay," that's not okay. Just because a DPS having a low level weapon doesn't mess up the group like a tank does, doesn't mean they shouldn't be just as responsible as a tank would have to be.
Also people acting like the OP is being elitist or having a strict requirement or something. It's i110. You can literally buy an i150 weapon from Azys Lla. It's very clear this was either deliberate or a very unfortunate mistake, but either way, there should be some kind of warning alerting people if a piece of their gear is dramatically lower than the item level requirement.
I mean you can't put restrictions on absolutely everything, some people are just gonna be dumb. Sometimes theres not much you can do except maybe mention it because what if they forgot and didn't realize it? (Forgot to equip a different weapon or something)
I actually have a better system. Because average ilevel is such a shitty system to gear gate content (ilevel has zero correlation to gear strength while people can cheese with RHS pieces not of the main stat or cheaping out on the weapon). I propose they have an AP/mAP requirement for all classes for all dungeons. That way, you have to truly be at the specific gear level intended for that content and it is also un-cheesable.
Did yall clear?
I would suggest a change to absolute minimum ilvl instead of the actual minimum average ilvl.
But the idea for AP/mAP/HealingPower would be nice too.
No, that will just cause more of this kind of thing. I've often hurriedly joined in the wrong gearset and changed while I cast buffs. Please don't lock this.
I assume it was an accident (and one a lot of people have made once). If it was on purpose, it's definitely bad behaviour.
