Echo works with sounds too.
I use it for a crafting macro.

His problem is just button mashing. He should put a delay between the action and the text. This would allow him to confirm the action, while only having the text once.
Literally the only downside is that the text will snapshot when it happens. So like my Provoke macro was "Don't look at <tt>, look at ME", but it would always flag me cause of the delay.
Haha, good times
There's more downsides to macros than just your target delay!
Can't queue, can't time up with your gcd, annoys people, etc.
especially WAR macros... i can understand a one-liner for berserk yay... but for macros like:
"Get ready-Charging up..."
"Now power over 9000 for xx sec"
...
...
...
...
"Get ready to clean me"
...
...
"5"
"4"
"3"
"2"
"1"
"HELP!!!111"
you just deserve an insta kick imo.
Personally, I don't like aesthetic macros.
Text in combat should be clear, concise, and meaningful to the person who will be reading it.
/p Rezzing <t>
^ at a minimum, this is really all the healers / SMN might need about a res attempt.
Why make your teammates read a bunch of anime fluff or a joke with that info?
Some people role play, I've attached a macro to my bard lb that sounds slightly chuuni (text is for Sagittarius arrow). Its ok cause how often does a bard get the chance to LB3.
By using "pleasing" instead of "pleading" in your critism, you have made me smile.
To return the favor, I have included a bad pun for your entertainment. Ahem:
Did you hear about the man who was caught robbing the library? They threw the book at him!
Hope you have a good day!
