Sure, doesn't pass off the quick re-colour/new lighting rig cross over, but is anyone really surprised?

Logically you aren't wrong, but practically speaking how many people will look at it and say, "oh, this is alchemically correct." instead of making a snarky remark?

Moon may not be named super literally, but it's meant to be a softer light equivalent to Sun (which moonlight is), so I struggle to think what other name would've worked.

I understand, but the minion teams has been making high quality work all this time so I can't help but feel that they fall short on this one. I'm no 3D modelling expert, but if they find making a crescent shape difficult (maybe the lighting effect), surely they can make a sphere shape without the heatwaves?

They are designed that way as a screenshot device. Disabling your UI also removes this and the Sun minion so you can have a source of light from where you want it.
