NPC romance

I would love this idea. I know I would be romancing Y'shtola. Maybe add in some special dialog opens for some aspect. I know I was so sad when the dark knight level 60 quest asked who I would fight for. There was no option for my love. So I had to settle on friends. :( Specially in stormblood when Y'shtola is wounded. I wished their was a dark knight option for revenge and hated. Real miss opportunity for a little flavor text based on your class or at less your archetype. (tank healer dps)

This is just some nice flavor text nothing more. Though if I am limited to a romancing Y'stola on April fools for a this was just a dream event. I would still take it.

I'd rush straight to Gridania for Mother Miounne.

As much as I'd like some romance options in game, I don't think it'd work with major story characters. Far too many little details and limitations. Just think about it: they'd need to add some alternative scenes for every single character and would be much more limited if they ever wanted to develop some romantic relationship between NPCs.
Tho I'd totally go for Yotsuyu.

On the other hand, the idea of separate pool of romancable characters, like retainers or GC squadron members, sounds much more realistic. I already have my "waifu" retainer - I just wish she could at least sit or move inside house instead of standing in rain all day and night.

I might be jumping to conclusions here, but does that mean WoL x Chocobo ship is canon?

I really wish they would do the Favour system. Sure it was a joke but it would be nice to make it a real thing.

I know. I am not saying they should make this part of the main story quest chain. I was thinking more of side mission. Where you can return to the Rising Stones and take a secondary quest. Which after doing a few of these you might have like a Star War the old Republic type of cut scene wish some dialog but no voice acting. I really do not think some extra no reward side quest would be that hard or costly.

Maybe we can do the party in the A Calm After the Storm story.

This thread reminds me of the time I saw someone trying to solo an S rank for a marriage proposal. xD

Slightly off topic, can free trial get marry? If so, would be easier marrying alt than making different quests.
Just imagine massive divorce trying to get the quest done.

I though you needed to pay real money for the paperwork to get marry. Honestly I do not think trails can marry. Trails can not even join Free Companies and reply to tells.

Trial accounts can't go past 35, you can only marry someone if you are lv50 and being the highest rank in your GC.

I can see them making something like this with squadrons. Not like romantic, but at least something like the system in 11.

I would not mind the squadrons idea. Being able to pick select npc to replace the chocobo companion. Mainly using the Scions as battle companions kinda like in the ARR main story. I really hate the chocobo companion and wish we could ether make our retainer a battle npc or bring out one of the more major lore characters as a battle npc. Final fantasy games have aways had squads in them. We need that for this game.
