Connection issues........again

Level 3's outage map is showing a huge swath of red over the East coast and NE US in particular. So I think that's your culprit.

Cactuar. Started having issues about an hour ago.
Did a traceroute. Looks like it's Level3 yet again!
Requests time out while trying to route through their servers to Cactuar.

EDIT: Level3 acknowledged they were having issues.

So is anyone getting the 5006 error and can't get to the character selection screen?

Yup. Can't even get that far. Glad it's not just me then. Of course it happens the one day off from work I get

Me. I play on Leviathan so I hope this gets resolved soon but nonetheless it is a bummer.

Aether Faerie server: Same problem here. Cannot even connect to the data centre at all
