We should let the developers do their thing, but at the same time we need to give them feedback aswell. The developers are not making this game just, because they like to make games. They are part of a business and this business needs cash flow, otherwise FFXIV would have been a free game. Since FFXIV needs cash, it needs customer and we the customer have stuff that want or expect from the game. If the developers ignore the players, then they will not know what we, the players like and dislike. SE has people that will filter the good suggestions from the ones where people are trolling.

Feedback is important, we should give it (I wish developers brought back the ingame polls from the BETA) and developers need it or else the game will never improve.

I disagree, constant feedback is good for the developers. It's unfortunate that there is little to no 2-way discussion regarding feedback. I do miss the WoW forums, where blue posts are much more frequent. Even if the post is just to come and say, "we're not doing this", then fine. Often the blue posts give a pretty good reason as to why not as well.

That said I do agree they need to be inspired for themselves. From my perspective, that is how they are generating most of their content. The majority of suggestions that I see never make it to the game, nor are even addressed.

Hate to break it to you but you kinda did bring it on yourself in this regard, you told people to stop making suggestions but you've done that yourself. It's like a politician telling people they're against idea X but less than a month ago they were rallying for idea X. You've flip flopped on a topic you previously endorsed, then to call people petty and sad, for linking a public post that contradicts what you're trying to promote. It makes you sound condescending to others, then proclaiming you're leaving the forums and people hate you, certainly makes you seem like you're overreacting and looking for reactions out of people.

If dev being dev, they won't know how unfair the gear gender distribution like bunny ears and those gloves and boots before that only for females.
