A lot of what you listed is server limitations so dropping PS3 will have no effect.

PS3 was the bogeyman for players with every design decision blamed on that.

You wont get more customisation, maybe slightly more elaborate hairstyles and tattoos but there's going to be no more sliders. AuRa wont be changed either: they look like SE want them too. There's also the issue that changing models could piss a lot of players off who like the current ones.

Zones might get prettier and slightly bigger but it's not going to change the game in a meaningful way.

Your saying with 58 servers, players can't have these bits of content? What part of Server issues will prevent any of these exactly? Load times? I'm pretty sure that's what PS3 limitations were suppose to fix.

it has something to do with the fact that these servers are still physical hardware and can't process infinitely much stuff. that's why you'll still have a character display limit even if you have the most powerful pc on earth. much of the framework of the game is specifically designed for these servers, so just upgrading them doesn't really change anything.

Everything around housing is server limitation, not PS3 limitation.

Iceheart used her light crystal, drained the energy from herself and died after it.
So, no live sized primals are design limitation and not PS3 limitation

People are really getting their hopes up but I'm pretty sure most of the improvements from not supporting PS3 are gonna be UI related and not what people are expecting.

As the poster said above.

The server code is god awful compared to some older MMOs. If 2.x code is better than 1.x code I hate to think how limiting 1.x servers were.

I think folks are missing how tongue-in-cheek the original post is. The whole point is that NONE of these things were missing because of so-called "PS3 limitations". PS3 was simply the scapegoat that players decided to blame the whole situation on. And now that PS3 is going away, these folks are in for an unpleasant surprise, if they think these enhancements are gonna come a rollin' in. XD

Putting all the thread salt to one side for a moment, I suppose pointing out the obvious - that not all 'limitations' can be attributed to the PS3 - isn't going to help much?
