That is why disconnection and giving your item back directly isn't the right solution. Because some abuse would occur.

As already suggested, an automatic reclaim should occur if you have the cross-class skill equipped and have enough CP. Either that or save each crafting state, but Square won't do that.

Neither of the above are abusable. The reclaim solution in particular wouldn't be overally complicated for Square to implement and would pretty much solve the issue entirely.

I think what they're asking for is something that stores your crafting progress, and that will log you back into the same place where you left off. There's nothing quite as frustrating as losing a 95%+ HQ craft to a 90002 error. Being able to sign back in and get that craft back right where you left it would be the ideal situation.
