First post I found on google...
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...ots_in_pf_now/
INcludes a link to pictures of a conversation in the Gm Jail about selling housing.
Though it's not enforced consistantly, as someone posting one of the EU gm's not seeing it as a problem...
There needs to be an official statement on it.
Yeah I don't think a screen shot conversation posted through reddit counts as a valid source. Also, in that screen shot the GM mentions that posting the sale in the PF was the cause of the warning. I asked where it states that buying/selling of plots between players is illegal. I never mentioned anything about posting in PF.
People in this thread seem salty about others buying land to immediately sell, but as long as you don't do it through PF it isn't illegal or reportable no matter how immoral it may be.
"Unfortunately, we do not tolerate the sales of housing or land in our game and will have to place a warning on your account."
That single text line from the GM stated selling is not tolerated.
That clarified, there still needs to be an official statement made by SE about the issue.
Very much this. I normally believe in capitalism in life, however in the game, what some people are doing, is quite frankly disrupting the kind of situation the devs had envisioned, and making it more difficult for players and FC's to participate in the game to it's full potential. Unlike in real life, you can't just produce more.
We asked for a public statement months ago and it still has not occurred.
EU VS NA have very obvious conflicts in policy.

Warnings // Temp Ban has been given, nothing you can say to that. I guess there is no turn back to that, you can not avoid banning people for that once you started. You may have conflicts on the understanding of the user agreement, but this might be how it is.
Also, I think we all here agree that it might NOT be against the User Agreement, but buying house for the sole purpose of re-sell them at an higher price is wrong.
Those FCs who abused this system, creating lots characters just to buy houses in order to make a business out of it are as bad as Mafia is in RL, and they need to be punished in the harshest way.
Griefers always find some way to grief, and Square Enix still hasn't put a house limit on account so the griefers can keep griefing...
