Thoughts on 24-Man Savage-tiered content for the game?

One of the things i like about ff14, is that its raiding differs from other games. The casual content is the larger groups, but for high end, you need a small well oiled machine. 24 man savage sounds painful if it was actually tuned they way savage is now. One persons death SHOULD mean something. It would need to be nerfed to the floor to account for the increased chance of personal failure.

ITT no one played an MMO before 2009.

If it's anything like other games, the only thing hard about it will be scheduling it. You have so many people that it covers up mistakes and poor performance.

I would love to see this as an option, now that we can form our own 24 man alliance, this makes it more of a possibility. Before, you'd be an 8 party, teamed up with other 8 man groups, which is one of the reasons they've had to scale down the difficultly.

Having a savage version of Crystal tower, and Void Ark would be a good option for those who want to have a large group challenge difficult content.

The challenge to getting this is, they wouldn't just scale up the HP of the content, they'd add in new mechanics, which would take time for them to develop.

Ravana, Thordan and Bismarck could work too, with a giant 'island' that has walls that Ravana and thordan can drestroy. Even the big three could work together, Ifirit, Garuda and Titan. An arena with Garuda pillars that both Titan and Ifirit can destroy. maybe the pillars would buffer all of their ultimates.

Can we just have a thread dedicated to requesting trials like these? Or maybe since the Warring Triad are elder primals they should have been 24 man to reflect that they're far stronger than your regular primal, or something.

24 man trials would be awesome.

Or they just realize that the MMO market's actually changed over time. >_>

Im actually down for this and I think it can be beneficial for raiding free companies.

Although I originally thought that the Diadem HM was the 24 man
Raid.

What I want to see is they change diadem into a instances dungeon on a massive scale.
- Allow you to queue as an alliance.
- Spawn bosses that have mechanics that justify loot (i.e. 245) etc
- NO FLYING
- Trash mobs
- Entering a boss room has the purple line that locks out after starting the encounter so trolls can't step in.
- 3 different chests drop etc.
Bronze, Silver, Gold can spawn depending on each alliances zeal. (Think the biggest problem with 24 man is lazy people).

I JUST MISS WHEN THE RAIDS WERE HARDER. YOU REMEMBER THAT PLACE CALLED CRYSTAL TOWER, RIGHT? GOSH THOSE WERE THE DAYS. WE HAVEN'T HAD A GOOD RAID TO ARGUE IN FOR A WHILE.

It's been suggested before, reminds me of WoW days in burning crusade. I think the devs said they were hesitant because they didn't want to make it to difficult. Look at Alex Savage last patch for example. But who knows.
