I haven't done Sephy ex yet, haven't even looked at the vid yet, been trying to get my ADS mount before frontline dies, and gearing for the feast! :D

I've spent a lot of time being extremely frustrated with this fight this past week. My static has been stuck on the beginning of the last phase for a few days now and we haven't made much progress because people keep messing up on simple mechanics. It seems like someone dies to a different derp mechanic every pull. Today I finally got a few clears with another group (it started as a clear group and sort of turned into a farm of sorts where we were helping other people with last phase exp get clears too). I feel like I'm in a better position to help my static through it since I have a full understanding of the last phase now. For some reason I feel a lot less stressed out when I'm teaching than when I'm learning along with them.
I've just tried once quickly to get the feel of the fight. Saw adds once (with the multi-spawn bug in bonus, yay!) And stopped because the PU dps just couldn't do it (the time we saw adds, we had done P1 rotation like 6-7 times ?) But yeah, learning and all. Can't and shan't expect good dps from people who die a lot due to one not stacking (+ occasional screw up on green + purple)
This.
Haven't cleared it but i've been in the fight. Did one lock out with friends and the phase one heals is super super predictable so long as party members aren't standing in things they shouldn't be.
I'm in no rush to clear it. I know it can be frustrating to find groups but i'm lucky enough to have an FC large enough that if we want to run it we'll only ever have to pug 1-2 people.
the fight isnt hard
But i want to compare it to something
its exactly like Titan EX
Requires 3 main things
1- memorize his rotation by heart
2- know where to position yourself at the mechanics given to u
3- practice to be fast reactional and ahead of mechanics time
Once u got all that its a matter of practice til kill as dps check there isnt harsh there
Was getting pretty bitter over this fight. Mostly because people do not understand that Clear is not the same as progression.
I constantly have people joining who make mistakes in the first part of final phase, who claim they get "To enrage" or "To adds" or "Have done everything", and then they die to stupid. It's a bit baffling why people choose to lie in my book. I'll never understand it.
At the very least, I got my clear last night. My static will be going in tonight again (Who is also on phase 3 and I'm teaching) so with any luck we'll get another set of clears.
My clear came about from asking someone in a Farm party if I'd be allowed to join, even with bonus. Thankfully they recognized me from previous runs and trusted me to do my job right. So they invited me in, and we cleared in 2-3 pulls and farmed thereafter for 13+ runs. Good times. Was a relief to finally get that done.
Make a static for it. Go in with the same people, get the clear.
Waiting for the echo buff to me there is really no reason to invest hours in losing to him
