Paladin adjustments = PALLY BUFFS!

I really hope they keep pld as the low attack power high defense tank, BUT give it some way to contribute to overall raid dps like trick attack does to balance things out.

There are two types of people playing Paladin right now. People like me who are good enough that they're still better than the average df tank and don't give a shit because we like the aesthetic and playstyle, or people who are completely awful and don't know asses from elbows about their class anyway. These are usually the full vit tanks that insist on MTing.

I actually received a hug at the start of one of my roulette's last night because I was the first Pld the healer had seen in a long time. Her exact words were: "Oh, a PLD! I love you guys! Everyone plays War or Drk now, but Pld is still my favorite." Made me feel all warm and fuzzy lol. We had a nice chat about how it was sad that no one played Pld anymore.

I have to admit that I'm the same way. I main Pld, and I still use it on my roulette's, but I've been using my Drk a lot more recently, especially for Raids and Trials. The Tp issue by itself is all the reason I need to Q as a Drk instead of Pld.

It's about time that SE finally addressed the issue instead of ignoring it and insisting that "everything is fine." At the very least, I'm happy that they took their heads out of the ground and sniffed the air.

That said. I'm gonna hold off on any celebrations until I see what they are actually doing with the Job. They have an inconsistent track record with Tank adjustments. War's saw the biggest (and most effective) adjustment to their kits back in 2.1 (ish). It polished out the job and laid the groundwork for what they are today. Pld's, on the other hand, have only ever seen small adjustments. A CoS buff here, a Flash enmity adjustment there removing Shield Swipe from the GCD (which actually harmed Pld Tp management and enmity for a situational Dps increase) etc.

They say this one is a "major" adjustment, so I'm very interested to see what they are planning on doing to improve the situation. I'm hoping it's going to be more than just a simple stat adjustment. All in all, though, I'm just glad they're finally giving it some attention.

I agree with you on that. We already have 2 tanks that focus more on the offensive rather than defensive aspects of tanking and I do find myself going back from DRK to PLD from time to time, though I will always main WAR as I always have since beta. PLD always had good utility its just the content rarely requires it. I remember timing silences in T1 and T2 as a pld with the other dps back in 2.0. PLD has great utility and with less focus on dps in raids for 3.2 Im sure you will start seeing them more to help bypass some mechanics.

I'm so glad I hung onto these now instead of getting 6 brass spoils for them:

Yay, PLD buff, VIT returns from the cold, and lots of adjustments for all, but especially tanks. I am sincerely hoping that whatever they do, balance is retained, so PLD doesn't come out smelling of roses whilenDRK/WAR are feeling gimped. That said, no tank should be doing dps similar to real DDs.

With all the strict dps requirements, it was required due to the dps meta.
