All abilities should be like Arrow Helix

Awww yeah I love when I lose all that TP when a monster dies and my marauder uses Storms path, I love not needing a target to waste my TP!

We just need ground-targetable AoE. Ifrit does it (sort of) with those splats of lava. We should be able to target an area instead of everything being centered on a monster or player.

Ahhh this sounds like a bad idea.
One thing I'd like is an adjustment to the speed of running backwards or to the side while targeting something. I'm practising my doomspike, but with everything moving around it's like trying to snipe without a scope. At least with arrow helix you have the ability to hit things in range, same with mages, but man oh man. Sometimes lining up these effers while they can stand inside each other is a nightmare and you move slowly to spin yourself around.

Particularly when the targets are larger than you are and you can't tell, from how they're behaving, which mob is your target and where the one between you is. I'm almost 50 LNC and I'm embarrassed by this tbh. D:

Doomspike should just be conal AoE in front of you. Would still amount to the same thing but with 1% of the stress.

And yeah, granted this idea is a little extreme. But it would be nice if there were more weaponskills that weren't such a headache as 99% of the current ones, and spells too.

It is a fine art positioning Arrow Helix to hit the mobs you want, but at least you don't have to "fiddle around" with targetting all day just to get to the mob you want. More skills like this would be a welcome addition if you are in a tight spot and need to get something off quickly.

wow.. some ppl can really complain, after they give us this nifty targeting system, i have not run into problems in targeting anything :|

And with how easy targeting is on the gamepad, you'd figure no one could bitch about it. Sadly this is not the case, people can and will bitch about anything they can, even if it's not actually an issue.
