I hear that. Oh so many people on here just lurk about to troll threads and say how ffxiv is broken with every subsequent patch. These polls, wherever they may be, doesn't really represent the major playerbase, because obviously most of them don't post

Exactly. ITT we pretend that polls on fan sites aren't inherently skewed towards fans. The poll on XIV's own official forums predicts somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 will quit, and these are the *diehard fans who have been here since launch* saying that.

Unofficial poll made on random poor-quality site has zero statistical value.

OP should take a course on statistics.

Diehard fans my... They are here simply because it is free. Coincidentally (or not) that is also why they are now frothing at the mouth about having to pay. Goodbye and good riddance.

Yep, people here are playing the laughing stock of the gaming industry simply because it is free and there are no other free to play games as awesome as ffxiv.

If it's not worth $13 to someone, then they probably aren't playing it much already and thus won't be missed.

Then please enlighten us as to why you play this "laughing stock" of a game that is so absolutely terrible you just rage thinking about paying 13 bucks a month to log in? Either you like being miserable or you are playing because it is free.

It certainly wasn't because I'm an avid ff fan who only plays the game because it has the words final and fantasy in the title. Or.. maybe it was.. Or maybe it could have been because I bought a PS3 which I don't use, an HDTV (which I do use but could have gone without) and a comphy fricken chair all to enjoy this lovely piece of awesomeness.

I want to see the game succeed. I don't think we as players should have to pick up the tab for SE's major screw up. It's not like they are going to go bankrupt any time soon. They have a lot of money. A looot of money.

Are people actually raging? I don't pretend to read every thread on this forum, and I certainly haven't touched even half of them today, but what I have seen has been low on rage, and high on "Nah, not worth paying."

The ones that have been high on rage have also been high on criticism for the planned content, not the fee.
