Should Unsynced content give rewards?

If it didn't, I probably wouldn't touch the content at all. As is I've avoided trying to get the other ponies (I have levi's) because I've had so many terrible pf groups that can't even clear unsynced. The few df ex primal runs I've been in were disastrous. Most of my clears were from full FC groups.

The rewards just aren't worth it otherwise.

There's minimal iLv sync if you really want your challenge that badly. If there were no rewards for doing unsynced content, no one would do them anyway, synced or not.

There's also a reason why they put the primal item drops like the Kingly Whisker in the treasure coffer, because no one was doing Thornmarch EX.

I'd argue that there is nothing more fun or satisfying than getting revenge on Titan EX by blasting him to pieces with fire 4 spam. That's some good entertainment right there.

I am confused, Are you asking if mounts drop from Unsynced Ex battles or want them to?

I say No because the content is old and nobody is gonna do them in the future when new content rolls out.

The only reason someone would want to remove rewards is a gloating rights, I have it you don't type of thing.

If that is the case I say no thanks, who cares if people didn't do it at 50 the ex battles are by choice, if a set party does them cool fine you beat it good for you move on you have a mount no need to try and hinder others because you feel extra special because you did it with a party who could co exist together, not like elites who kick people out or drama or leaving party each time they die.

idk about you I steered clear of that mess if I decide I want a mount later I'll do it with a unsynced party and they will be friends I don't have to deal with people fighting or kicking or judging I will have fun doing it my way.

Not like I lost before or got kicked from party just read from forums of the nightmares everyone had, I am sort of glad I didn't have to go through it.

I'm sorta for both sides of this. On one hand I feel that people should work for their clears and loot, but at the same time removing the rewards from unsynced would absolutely kill the content and farming. On the topic of SCoB Savage though, I really think they need to remove unsynced from it since the whole point of doing it was for the challenge and bragging rights.

No one will do it if they removed unsynced either. Trust me, people don't wanna deal with the fighting half of the people skipped it due to the problem with kicking and leaving.

It would be dead content if they did it.

Yes, there should be rewards for unsynched. Once content is an expansion old, it should be virtually soloable so people who could not experience it before can now with an increased level cap.

Have you played an MMO before FFXIV? Half the fun in a content lull was soloing old raids that took your guild weeks to clear in a matter of minutes. I know if unsynced wasn't around I wouldn't even touch the content, pony or no pony. Just take one quick look at the Crystal Tower series, how many people do that again? Right, almost no one. If it requires a reward for people to do it, it isn't fun content.

Might as well just ask someone to shove cake in your mouth.

On the other side of the coin, a lot of content that has no valuable rewards are oft neglected outside of people who just want to clear for clear's sake. Even the old raids by my understanding have become obsolete and no one bothers with them.

The only way I can understand rewarding an unsynced battle is if the difficulty can scale to match whatever average level the party is. Besides, as someone mentioned at some point, the trials are painfully easy once you've got the mechanics down to a T. The only thing you're asking is whether you can get your pony in ten minutes instead of twenty.

Eventually this game is going to have mountains of content available, like other mmos, and it will be impossible to get a group of people for more than 5% of it. Unsynced rewards are there to make sure that this content isn't completely pointless FOR YOU, because you'll be hard pressed to find anyone that wants to run it seriously. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't experienced the decline in popularity of 2-expansion old content in games like WoW.

Besides, running content with fewer people in a party can create new and interesting challenges. How many of you have soloed an extreme primal? What about 2-manning it? How many level 50 dungeons can you solo? You think a guy that can solo garuda extreme doesn't deserve a reward, while an ilevel 130 character who is dead on the ground for half the fight does?

There will always be something in the game to show off that you're an experienced and skilled player. That would currently be a gobwalker mount, ilevel 210 weapons, and to a lesser extent, anything from thordan extreme. Someday, those will be easily obtainable, and something else will be rare. Any system that failed to reward content you are overpowered for would result in 95% of the items in the game being nearly unobtainable a decade from now, and I wouldn't want to play a game with that design philosophy.
