A debate that's missing the point...

If you go find a mark with your party on your own, it doesn't matter whether you wait or not. It's your activity and your find, therefore your reward.

A linkshell is a community resource, with marks called by community members with the intention of sharing, and as soon as you use a linkshell to find your hunts you're no longer playing solo but as part of that community. Don't fuck over the people you just used to get something nice for yourself.

2-3 minutes is not a lot of time.

If Hunts were as cutthroat competitive as some people like to think, anyone outside of the claiming party would be SoL when it came to rewards. Still being able to earn kill credit even when the mob is purple to you suggests that Hunts are supposed to be inclusive. You don't gain anything from secretly killing hunts by yourself anyway so there's absolutely no reason not to wait for other players that you know are on their way.

That's about the reaction from some people who don't care to be courteous towards others.
