My major issue with endgame crafting at the moment is that it's nothing more than a huge time sink and endurance test. You spend hours simply collecting materials and when you're done with that, you get the privilege of crafting an i170 piece of gear, which turns out to be among some of the easiest end game crafts released so far. If these items weren't gated, I would definitely be disappointed by the lack of challenge, but as it stands, I wouldn't want them to be much harder anyways.
New demon crafts would definitely be nice, but they would need to figure out a solution regarding what to do about crafters who do not have enough high level cross class skills. I believe that the reason why current endgame crafts are easy is that they are designed to be able to accommodate those who do not have many of the abilities that were required in 2.4. Specialization is not very useful and current crafts have to be easy enough for specialists to handle. Also, even with cross class abilities, you really only need 4 classes at 50+ to come up with a reliable method of HQing 2* crafts.
I think there should be two sets of master books or pathways with differing recipes/difficulty (like Alex Normal and Alex Savage).
