As for the stuff that Dree-Elle mentioned that I missed out on, I don't mind either. It's annoying that so many people feel like they should have everything even if they weren't around for it.

How much does 1m MGP take to make, 100+ hours? Now I'm sure most people wouldn't consider $5 a lot of money, it's a rather miniscule amount comparable to two bottled waters at most. But 100? That's a lot of time for everyone, and I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have 100 hours to blow away grinding on a spooky ghost sheet. 50,000 MPG? Sure, but if it's 1 million I'd prefer the cash shop.

I'm neither saying that I mind nor that I don't mind, only that there is indeed a precedent for "permanent retirement" of in-game items. Indeed it is incredibly hypocritical to retire only certain event items, and not others. What makes any one-time event item more worthy of a return than another? There seems to be little rhyme or reason to it.
