I missed my cap for tomes for the first time last week.

The only part of the game I "bum rush" is the story.
It's less to "be ahead of everyone" and more of "I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS RIGHT NOW".

I do the same with books and other games though. It either takes me five hours or five months to read a book, no in-between...

To be fair, these people are literally here for that type of content though. If you played mainly for that reason, you'd likely go straight through it as well. Of course, this means they're expecting far more of that type of content than the devs are intending to give lol. It's a personal fault on that one for them, but there is zero chance any of them will acknowledge it. Some arguments, like the current drought, are certainly worthy criticisms, but that's a different matter and one that I only bring up in passing thought.

I've gotten 0 for 2 months. I literally login, check retainers, play the mini cactpot and log off.

Well, grinding ALex is just tedious as grinding expert roulette. The only option to shake things up for tome grinding is Pvp, but they won't fix the pvp queues, so it's not really option. PvP queues are usually an hour+ lately. Occasionally I get lucky and get an in progress pop, but those are once a week at best. Yeah, there is stuff to do, the problem is all this requires running the same thing over and over and over. I've been trying to use this drought to level up the classes I want to play in the near future to 60. But we only get 1 dungeon every two levels, so I'm stuck running the same dungeon over and over.

10/10 amazing movie.

This is what happens when all focus is placed on endgame content. All the stuff that happens in the middle is rushed through since it has no real impact on your long term goals. When the limited number of things to do at the end grows tiresome it doesn't leave you much reason to do the other things you've already completed.

The middle content should act as a base for what you are going to build up, not just delay you from reaching the end.

I've missed one week of capping, back in January, because my computer died. Even though I'm relatively burnt out and very ready for 3.1 to get here, I have to cap both Esoterics and Red Scrips. It's a compulsion. x.x

People act like if this game was the only game in existence.

Bum rush what exactly? Was I supposed to drag out my questing somehow, or maybe I should have leveled by killing mobs as that would be taking it "slow"? There's no bum rushing going on, the expansion has been out for almost 4 months now, there is not 4 months worth of content in this expansion, period. But yes, go on about how we were supposed to take 20,000 screenshots every day on a leveling journey, about how we were supposed to take Alexander Normal slow when it's literally designed to be "bum rushed". If the content is being bum rushed it's not the fault of the players, the blame lies in the developers for making it so short.

But this thread is about Esoterics caps, how are we bum rushing those? It's designed so that players cap every week, we can literally not go at a faster pace than the developers have set.
