Regarding summons in FFxiv

Minion models are ridiculously un-detailed. So thats something to consider. I'm not saying they should be left alone by any means but...

you really want an egi with the same graphical spec's as a minion?

All I'm trying to say is that Egi's need to be kept small to keep the field clear of clutter and obstructions. With the limit on size it would be very hard for the design team to create something that is gonna really please everyone.

i dont see the eyes on ifrit , its like bland, in the other hand minion has more details that i can percept as a firebomb and ifrit i would not say that thing is ifrit

The rendering on the ifrit is waaaay better. Color tonalities, texturing, flame effects....

Ok you guys win... you can have all the minion quality summons you want. Guess there's nothing for me to argue here if that's what you want.

i can understand your point of view it would be strange to have summons be like wind up minions but its not minion treatment we want here i guess

Honestly, I love me some summoner, but I don't see the point. I don't see the point in having Garuda look huge and cool, doing contagion.

My point being, that If they made them ala XI, I would want them to do cooler things.

I'm just trying to be realistic. Egi's are secondary to your character and thus are treated that way. It would be difficult to take something so small and add a ton of detail into it without it becoming a mess. It's the same thing with armors and weapons in the game. The artwork on the roe weapons is much easier to see and comprehend then the lala version. Since egi's are a static size for everyone though they are all pretty darn small.

If your loking for a way to gear your egi with different armors and such, then that would be a big undertaking for the staff that has bigger issues with class balance and raid balance issues in the current meta. The design was chosen to be simple and easy to read.

If they did find a way to render them better to allow for something like that, then that would be cool. I'm not against the idea, but I'm also trying to be reasonable.
