Yeah well too bad I can't make my own group for Leveling roulette or else I would. Solo queue only.

The very least people could do is have common courtesy to vote abandon. The reality exists that there are groups that are basically ",no-win" groups. The odds that another healer would take my place and then manage to clear it is basically 0 in most cases

And that's assuming the group even stays there. That's the messed up part about it. Because I leave since the group refuses to abandon or kick, THEY CAN THEN LEAVE RIGHT AFTER ME WITH NO PENALTY EVEN THOUGH IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT THE DUNGEON RUN IS A FLOP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

That's the whole point of low level roulette; it helps facilitate dungeon queues for ones that are required by MSQ.

And chances are, they won't get another queue until 25+ minutes in because dps queues suck even if they do leave without a penalty.

The fact that DPS queues are long is irrelevant. If they had the penalty, they\\'d have to wait 30 more minutes on top of the 25 minute queue. An hour as opposed to 30


You\\'re forgetting the tank, who can easily re-queue and get instant duty. Or if I\\'m the DPS, and the healer and tank are bad, they can both get right back in.

They could always remove the penalty after 30 mins of being inside. If you drop before 30 mins, you get hit with a 30min penalty. If you drop after 30min inside, no penalty. It would effectively accomplish the same thing as the system does now (penalize those who bail upon zoning in) without completely shutting down people who make the effort like OP. Dunno about the people who queue an in progress, though.

So, I feel I need to ask since no one else appears to.

The two DPS apparently didn't know or understand the boss mechanics leading to the wipes.

Did you, with all your experience in the game and in that dungeon ... try to teach them?

The reason the social inept should not play socially oriented games(MMOs). Also, just because you get Tam tam HM 90% of the time(86% of statistics are made up on the spot ;) )doesn't justify that the system isn't working as intended; I tend to get SV or DD a lot myself.

Just remember this can be reported, as it counts as harassment. You need to assess which would be potentially worse: Eating a 30 minute penalty, or risk a 3 day suspension/permaban.

It's equally a load of bull from a DPS standpoint if a healer wants to waste our time, yet does not want their time wasted.

You even said it yourself that as a healer you have absolutely no qualms about doing that if the party does not want to kick you. It's a persistent risk of DF that's equally applicable for everyone on any role, but special attention goes to those that want to circumvent it and waste the time of the other players (specifically dps) that have to requeue because of it.

I even agree that they should waive the penalty after 30 minutes of being in the instance, but that's not applicable for circumstances such as this you mentioned

Yup, this. If a party was so bad I actually decided to abandon and eat the penalty, it's a good sign I really ought to go take a stretch break and do something that isn't video game related. Go exercise, go eat a snack, go clean the house, go take a shower, etc. I'll come back refreshed and ready to take the plunge again.

It also greatly lessens the risk you'll roll into DF with one of the people you just dealt with.
