Void Ark: Confirmed to be a relic from the War of Magi?

Given that it may be a living being, does anyone get the feeling it may be somewhat related to the Doomtrain? Since it was hinted in the Rising event that there might a Doomtrain minion, and since that carried the souls of people to the underworld, might it not be that the Void Ark in XIV is a similar construct in that it carries the Mhachi black mages in a comatose stasis as an anchor to remain floating in the Sea of Clouds and Hydaelyn as a whole?

Give me an Event Horizon feel.

Well, we were given the hint that we hadn't seen the last of Diabolos after his "defeat" in the Lost City... he'll probably show up in the Void Ark as a boss.

The next time we see Diabolos he'll probably have instant-death floor-falling puzzle mechanics and sleeps that are impossible to wake others from like in XI.

Speaking of Diabolos... Hope Square brings him back for the Amdapor storyline, personally. With Gravity spells as they should be (%hp loss)...
Void Ark gives me the impression that this is actually a voidsent, ferrying trapped Mhachi souls after 1500years of aimlessly floating. Lots of potential for a horror setting with voidsent running free of their chains.

Ok, I just realized.

People clearly survived the Great Flood and that Qarn may have been built by Mhachi survivors. We also heard that people hunted down mages during the Water Umbral era.

What I don't understand is why make an flying Ark and put themselves in these stasis pods if their goal is to escape the great flood calamity? Having a flying vessel means that they can go where ever they wanted, so something went wrong.

Maybe in desperation they went into the Void itself and that something went wrong while they were inside the void?

If you look at the surface of the ark, it kinda looks like Atomos skin

Maybe they called themselves into the void to QUICKLY escape the flood, since they were probably a large target by the elementals. Maybe once inside they realized they couldn't escape, so using their own bodies as Aether, as BLM often do, along with the nearby voidsent's as part of a deal, called forth a primal being to release them from the void, since you can't really call a particular voidsent while in the void... Only to be released thousands of years later. Exhausted with the burden of their summoning and the numerous Voidsents that crossed into the world within the corrupted ark... they sleep...

If the Void Ark is a Doomtrain equivalent we better be able to suplex it...

Has anyone else noticed the coffin shaped things hanging inside and outside of the Void Ark? I wonder if those are literal coffins, or more like stasis pods...
