I just love being a healer. Don't know why. Doing dungeons or raids with a good group, or even a bad group that a few players are carrying, is fun to me.
My favorite is groups who are trying and showing progression, but keep just somehow messing up. Keeps me on my toes and makes me have to adapt to all kinds of different situations.
Also, this game and attempting to be in the semi hard core raiding with friends has taught me to be more straight forward. It was very annoying watching us all make mistakes but being "too afraid" to call each other on them to improve. So I started being a little more out-spoken. And even though we've stopped raiding with scheduled times, I haven't reverted back to being my always reserved self.
I also suck at math. Badly. But this game is helping me a little when it comes to that.
Edit: A random personal goal I have is trying to get to 10 mil gil without giving up and spending it after hitting 2mil.

for now get the full dark knight armor set and wait the 3.2, the rest of the time i play ff type 0 for second time.

I really enjoy learning all the classes, so I've been leveling all the combat classes to at least 50. Eventually I'd like to get them all to 60, but 50 will be my milestone.

I play for my FC! The ease of access of content and social aspects of being in group of like minded individuals makes the game really enjoyable.

Become best crafter (in casual way :p ), getting ADS mount, leveling all to 60 (in casual way too :p)

I play to relax, and have fun, getting better at playing, but mostly to pass time with my friends (the one that got me into ff14) and my boyfriend, as I am unlucky enough at hvaing him too far away :)

My friends. To be honest, FFXIV is the sort of game I find dull as hell, (although it gets bonus points for having an ongoing story with each patch and level), but thats my personal taste, I just personally prefer more sandbox games. But I have a lot of great friends here and so I come back to play with them each day which makes it worth it.
Of course somedays I need a break so I'll go play a different mmo on my own for a while, but I always come back here
