"Attack speed" is a generalized term for any haste buff. It affects healing spells just as much as it affects offensive spells.

The minutiae of how "attack speed" differs from "skill speed" and "spell speed" are a tiny bit complicated and largely irrelevant to WHM, but the short of it is that Presence of Mind is effectively a 25% boost to (non-HoT, on-GCD) healing throughput.

It's all there, bro.

Doesn't take rocket science to add up all of WHM's options and realize that they have FAR more tools than AST does (including access to E4E and Virus, which AST lacks).

SCH still beats the pants off of AST in burst, MP regen, and DPS (hoooooly crap does it beat AST in DPS...).

I don't think I've seen a single complaint thread by someone who has actually leveled an AST + another healer to 60...

Well, I didn't know I had to level Scholar and Astrologian to talk about White Magic.
WHM is just a generic healer now, and the problem isn't really on the Astrologian buffs, but the job design itself. You can solo-heal A4S with a 3000 potency ocd no-mp cost raid-wide spell and I wouldn't care, but don't take my uniqueness and my skills from me because of other classes!
