Any reason to launch A4 Savage as an impossible raid?

...Or maybe it's just because these last two floors of Savage are Outrageously hard. I've never seen such an incredible jump in difficulty between fights in this game than the jump from floor 1 & 2 to 3.

Square and mainly Mr. G are no strangers to making tight mechanics and checks. Like this isn't even the first time a fight in the game as taken this long to kill. *cough* Original Twisters Twintania *cough*

I don't think it's possible to make something where the *mechanics* are so difficult that the top players can't clear it in a matter of days. These people spend hours upon hours working that out, usually non-stop, so there's only so long the mechanics will have any layer of mystique to them.

And when they clear things week one, people complain that the stuff is too easy.

I'm glad its that way, this coming from a "filthy Casual". Its not impossible, people have beaten it. We are also missing the intermediary gear that will be coming from the 24man raid in 3.1.

The difference here is people's gear at the time was long ready for T5 clear, but unknown mechanics were literally a killer. Nowadays Twister just kills you if you are on it at the end of the cast. Back then it also checked if you were more than 1.5ish yalms away from the Twister as well and kill you if you were too far. This meant that you had to move in really tiny U shapes to not hit the max or min range to trigger the twister. It got nerfed 2 days after the first clear.
A4S is straight up impossible even if all players do all mechanics perfectly. Don't you think it's a bit unfair?

Says who? Most of the time the devs have been trying to put in Raids where gear will stop you from progressing. They even mentioned about T12 beining unbeatable without the right gear, well we've seen how well that gone but Gear sole purpose is not to make things easier, yes it dose make encounters easier but that shouldn't be it's soul purpose.

No I don't think it's unfair, it's the whole point of raiding, get better gear to do the later turns. So far it's just A4S that has provided this and this way it's given people a motivation to gear up for gear even more.

It's all down to how you want to play, if you want the latest gear to beat the floor, good, already beaten the floor but want more of the gear just for glmaour? Showing off then fine.

You seem to have some editting problems there.

In any case, it's obvious we're talking to a brick wall here. Or a troll. Or both.

Bottom line is if they made it so the gear check could be done in the first week it would have been a failure as a raid.
