Will Directx12 ever be supported?

Square enix released a DX12 science and technology demo afew months ago.

So the devs in a different department in SE have experience and hardware to go full throttle into DX12. The rest is up to Yoshi-P's decision making.

It's the ability of DX12 to use multiple GPU's, even from different makers and companies and make them all work on the game at the same time, that I'm the most curious about.
