Is It Me OR Is There Been A Graphical Update

I guess my random crash might be related to the ones people posting here, went to call my retainer and adv guild in Limsa and it crashed, tried again and it crashed again. HD5770 with newest driver avail here.

Something has definitely been tweaked with the graphics. I noticed it immediately upon logging in. I dunno if it's the fluidity, overall sharpness, lighting, or what, but there's some slight difference.

CCC 11.9 just came out you have that installed?

I had 1 crash only none since then, Radeon HD6950 here

Also try installing the latest beta drivers, if they're available.

Dunno what version I have steam and it auto updated my driver which they updated i think was 2 days ago; I'll check when I get home.

I had literally the same reaction. "Wait. Does the lighting look better? I don't know, maybe softer or something? And the water on Iron Lake looks different. Is it just reflection from a different sky, or maybe I'm just remembering wrong?"

So, yes, I think it's been changed slightly. And for the better, in my opinion. (Of course, I haven't had any crashes ... yet ... so others may feel differently. :) )

Today I crashed for the first time since 1.17 (or so) but only once. As far as graphics and performance goes, I notice no difference.

the river in Gridania looked better to me. Limsa water as well.
AND DEF THE LIGHTING.
Sunrise in Limsa looked very very amazing.
Colors/lighting/water ftw!

team makes changes: everyone whines

team does nothing: oh my gosh it looks better, the lighting, the colors, THE WATER MAN LOOK AT THE WATER!
