Well we want the Empire to blow up Gridania and the denizens to retreat to Ishgard, We want the rise of the spirits of the wood ushering in espers(whatever you wanna call them into the world). We want them to choose to lend us their power to defeat the empire. We want the Moogles to take notice of the Empire and appear from their hiding...we want then for Ishgard to be the central ground to spark a defensive pacts with all the GCs and a war to take back Gridania and push the Empire off...in the mean time because of the downfall of Gridania...the dragon and beast tribes and all the GCs form a massive coalition to take down the empire. However, the empire unleashes a massive new magitek monster aimed square at destroying our lovely continent...forces must unite or all is lost.
Oh wait...I'm just dreaming...

I think a lot of people have the 'grass is greener on the other side' syndrome, they shout as loud as they can for changes and when those changes dont turn out to be as good as they thought they would they shout again for something else and continue the process never being fully satisfied.
It's sad but its part of our fast paced society with ever decreasing attention spans, its only going to get worse with so many games being made but the industry doesnt care as long as it sells. -

Love the OP, pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Just ignore the flamers and the negative posts, they're just people who know you're right but are just too ignorant to admit it.
Overall ignorance is what's killing most things, that's why 'TL;DR' popped up in the first place, some people are just lazy.

i agree with you. tanaka released a good start to a game that should have still been in beta, but would have loved to see those visions completed. good job tanaka. i wish you would have been given the same length of time to tweak the issues that the other games with a bad release were given to fix their issues ie. xi, wow. remember it wasn't the ones that actually got the game for what it was advertised to be that were complaining over and over on release.
the majority of those that enjoyed the system left after a while was because there was really not alot to do in game at release which is why the majority of the players polled asked for content over anything else.
