That's the idea.

Setting aside the fact that 95%+ of the player base won't have Gordius Savage on farm for months (and the majority of the player base likely won't ever have it on farm), SE don't want people able to farm the pinnacle of PvE content from the moment it comes out.

The ToS specifically prohibits me from sharing my account with others. And that's the way it's always been - no one but me has access to my app, and no one but me has access to my password. ;) Nice try though.

When you enter, there is a message saying one or more characters has completed the duty and how many treasure chests you will receive.

Not really. Groups on the cutting edge who are able to get the content on farm can still sell loot during the first clear of the week, as they were doing in SCoB and FCoB before the lock outs were lifted.

It's actually even easier to sell clears now, because everyone is guaranteed a token from the first clear, where in the past you wouldn't have received anything from a clear with 7 people who'd already beaten the fight that week.

Please explain to me how using an item you can only get once in a blue moon, to get into a fight, that drops a loot box full of crafting materials and other random crap(the good stuff was less the 2% drop rate most of the time) is better than our current loot system? Not to mention if you happen to wipe on that fight you lose your orb, and have to get a new one before you could even attempt the fight again.

I was there for FFXI, and hey, it wasn't as great as people seem to paint it out to be. It was a clunky mess of a game most of the time, and the only thing it did better than this game was the social aspect, since you were forced to party with people in your server to do anything.

FFXIV loot isn't perfect obviously, but it's still better than XI's.
