Ehh, it feels like an actual bard now. A lot of people are mad because they can't face roll mechanics by being way more mobile than everyone else now.

Had a BRD in a low level roulette dungeon today.
He kept circling around mobs like a spintop.
We asked him why he was doing that (maybe he thought it added some sort of dps ?)
Answer : "because I have no back/rear attacks, and doing so annoys MNK and DRG players, because they can't do that lolz"
. . .
I guess he will be pissed off once he gets to 50+ WM style too.
Not as true as you might think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEG-ly9tQGk
Exactly this. It's the same with Gauss Barrel for MCH. It's fantastic for that burst damage during a DPS check and stuff, then switch it off, wait for your cooldowns and turn it on for a massive explosion of damage again.
You just have to figure out how to rotate it and stuff. It's actually really cool when you get used to it.
I think OP's problem is that Bard don't get a own timer bar called aiming bar.
A aiming bar can be like a casting bar, but with the difference that the Bard can still shoot before the aiming bar reach 100% at the cost of lower damage bonus. Of course, moving would reset the aiming bar because it would break the aiming process.
That would make it more like in FF Tactics.
Or OP complain that sniping don't feel like just shooting.
The fact that these threads still keep popping up despite the changes leads me to believe that Bard is still in need of further improvements or fixes.
Many people who have a gripes against Bards moving around dont seem to recall that for our mobility and utility we naturally do less dmg than other classes. So I feel the stigma against Bard and MCH for that regard is unjust.
That being said though, I also don't run around like a chicken when Im on bard purely because I can. I usually just hang out in a position where I CAN move if necessary. Bards who are running around like chickens, should probably consider the implications of moving unnecessarily. It does cause issues on occasion for your party. Please be aware :P
I hate the cast bar as MCH, I don't know if I get the proc in time so I'm always waiting an extra second to see if I get it, meaning I lose a second of gcd rotation every attack.
And whats the point of having rapid fire when gcd is faster than procs?
Try popping reload, rapid fire, and then do your 1-2-3 combo. Your 3 is not gonna deal the bonus damage from the proc.
This drives me crazy, and it kills all my hopes of maybe they will change gcd to 1,5 seconds in the future
