Ending MSQ in 3.0 Spoilers

I guess my only context for this kind of thing is FFXI, but by comparison I feel like we've had tons of story right out of the gate in 3.0. The story took a decently long time (and if it took much longer I can't see them making it a barrier to endgame), and it felt like a complete story, but not tying up all the ends. We've still got ways to go.

My only concern with all these plots being left open is if they can balance them out properly.

After all 2.X issue was that it felt the story was just dragging on too longer to get to the major points but it would also be a issue if the story rush too fast through all these plots.

Did y'all forget about The Warring Triad?
That's certainly going to be part of the coming patches... possibly one each for 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 in place of primals...

I think it was a good ending point, and just the right amount of hints for future story patches.

But I do feel the end of the 3.0 MSQ was rather rushed. Putting two such substantial reveals (the Ascian fusion and Thordan's summoning) into what was basically one dungeon (since the Thordan trial is immediately after you finish the dungeon) and on top of that following it up with the Warrior of Darkness reveal soon after really killed a lot of the oomph, and I can see how that can leave people feeling like they aren't 'done enough'. A better paced leadup would have created a more satisfying conclusion of this chapter, I think.

I think it was rushed but I'm not surprised. The storyline in 3.0 I would say is "good for an MMO." It feels very beholden to its gameplay, treads the same waters that plenty of stories before it has trod, and is full of fantasy cliches, the kind of which SE is so fond of putting in their games.

What in the world are you on about?
When this game launched, did we have any of the Realm Awoken quests? No.
When we were working on the Realm Awoken MSQ did the Through the Maelstrom stuff exist? No
Then came the Defenders of Eorzea > Dreams of Ice and finally 2.55 Before the Fall ... all over the course of a year and a half.

Yes there's more coming for heaven sake

Do not forget that there's the potential of the Warring Triads returning too. I believe in this game they're considered Primals too so...
