Shiva wouldn't be the real thing either.... she's dead. No primal is the real primal - they're all figments of the worshippers imagination fuelled by their own desires and wishes.

Ysayle thought she summoned shiva, but only summoned a shade reflecting her own desires.

Look at what Tiamat said - when Bahamut was summoned he was summoned as a shade of his former self. The only person capable of summoning anything close to Shiva would be Hrasvalgar (sp?)

At one point when you return to the rising stones you can talk to one of the NPCs standing there and he/she tells you that a ton of corpses were found but those of Yda and Papalymo were not found.

Those 2 are not dead, though I wonder what happened to them

In my own opinion when Haurchefant died it was actually one of the best scenes in the game don't get me wrong I was hit hard that he died but it doesn't make it any less one of the best scenes in the game. And what made it more special is not the feels yes they were a big part.

But it was the fact we grabbed on to his out streached hand to us and when he said his last line before he died right there it hits you hard.

I'm actually tearing up a bit just writing this that's how meaning full this was.

That is true, but they did get buried. :P
(Also, since we didn't find a thancred corpse, I am absolutely livid at our characters for not asking to look for him in the lifestream along with y'shtola)

To be fair he may no longer be in the lifestream. He may have been successfully teleported and re-emerged at an unknown locale right now. Besides we have nothing that belonged to Thancred and no relative to trace his aether signature...we were fortunate with Yshtola as we had her wand and her half sister was in Grid at the time.

That is true, but our characters should've thought to look for him too before they learned that elementals are like aether bloodhounds. I'm saying the name should've at least come up. >:T

I guess I am with you there.. I was also left wondering where he had gone and why no one mentioned him OR Minfillia ... seriously where the hell is she?! I actually thought she was the randomly new female asican at first... but since we killed her off I doubt she is/was :P

I was so disappointed, talk about a cop-out! All of 2.5 was literally invalidated with that "conclusion". What was the point? That is terrible storytelling.

And I just rewatched the scene, Nanamo was choking! Clutching at her neck Joffrey style, eyes watering struggling to breathe and you mean to tell me that was a "potent sleeping potion?" Okay.

It was meant to simulate death then a coma, her waking up like it was an odd dream was weird, but her "death" was reasonable imho. Honestly I don't know how people actually thought Nanamo was dead.
