I wanna keep it non-adult but... HOW?! How does that even work... The pain... Good god. And imagine if they had a male baby vs. a female one? The male babies must be scary.

I'd assume that the babies are of the same height, but due to likely hormonal differences during puberty, that probably changes. Also, the height difference isn't what would necessarily make mating difficult. You're assume that the wedding tackle is proportional to size of the fisherman. Sure, there are likely to be SOME lucky Aura males, but if mating was nearly impossible or difficult with a male Aura having a third leg, then evolution would likely make it smaller in proportion to their body than a race such as the Hyur.
Of course, we are all assuming that they procreate in the "traditional" sense so many of us are use to employing for ourselves.
This. Woulda been nice to have the Xaela be taller. They wouldn't need a bigger build or anything (Although that would be cool too!) just have the option for taller height.
Roe females have 1 foot of optional height to play around with. Wish Au Ra females in general could have gotten that too.
To answer OP's question, I think they look angry because the eyebrows slant inward (like I think it's the only eyebrow option for the males)
On that note, are the babies born with horns? Ouch. imagine the contractions on that thing. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "it's crowning"
I just wanna say that if Lalas and Roes can share an Eternal Bond ceremony, I don't wanna hear it about Au Ra height differences XD
The Au Ra guys can actually look really...boyish when they use some of their emotes. I do agree they have chronic resting angry face most of the time. I shall join in the hug giving...provided my horns don't harm any in the process.
At birth, the bones of children are largely composed of cartillage, which is quite flexible, otherwise it would be very difficult to birth them without cracked ribs, etc.. Over the first couple of years this mostly is replaced with bone. It might be
that Au Ra children are born like this.

I don't think I look angry. Bored, maybe, but not angry.
