Looking for Marble Oscar tried magma fishing in dravanian forelands only got crabs any help?

Straight catch with Purse Web Spider, don't bother with mooching.

Marble Oscar is from the same hole as Warmwater Bichir, Purse Web Spider.

Got the Whilom Catfish and the Warmwater Bichir on Fog and Sandstorm. From 4pm (eorzea time) to 9 pm (eorzea time) i didn't Catch a single Warmwater Bichir.
From 9pm (eorzean time) to 1am (eorzean time) (fog-> Sandstorm) i catched them alot. (needed to stop at 1am cuz Duty)

So i guess the Warmwater Bichir is on a timer.

I just found my first one star fish. Casually exploring around Churning Mists I found myself at Tharl Oom Khash. A high quality Rudderfish allowed me to mooch up a Storm Chaser. The time was 8:20pm and the weather was gales, but it's too early for me to tell whether that has any relation to the fish.

Edit: Just a little bit more information. This was skyfishing so the bait I used were Red Balloons. At the time I had 397 gathering and 326 perception.

Coearthas Western Highlands 14/16 - Ashpool (Lv 53 fisher, Stonefly Nymph)

Alabathian Smelt, Ice faries and Fanged clams are here.

Ice Fairie Mooch - Battle Galley (lv 59). 10:45am, Blizzard. Has a big fish tug but is not a green fish.

With Snagging: Lake Urchin - Required for lv 50 Levequest. Discovering them also revealed them at South and West Banepool.

Finally finished lvl 60 quest "Carpe Diem", it was pretty annoying so I will share what I found.

Obviously from the quest text you know it is in the eddies and mooches from bullfrog. Gathering requirement seems low perception might be high not sure and you have to catch an HQ. I only ever caught them from 11 pm to 3 am. Weather was usually clear, not sure about that.

Patience buff may be required going into the catch, I caught 5 nq, some with patience up. For bait either Stonefly or Spiders work. You want to catch a HQ bullfrog. I found it was rare to straight catch this but they can be mooched from Crickets.

The spot also has dragonskin map so that is pretty useful.

Good luck as there are many other fish that mooch there.

Any word on Weston Bowfin? I tried the pool hes supposed to be in but nothing seems to work.. mooches, snaggles so forth

Smouldering wastes between 9pm-3am ET.

Use the spiders, will sometimes be a straight catch and can also be mooched from blueclaws. It's a guaranteed catch on the mooch.

Philosopher's Stone: Goblin Jig at Thaliak River (Hinterlands) when it's foggy.
Edit: Also got it during Clear Skies at night, 3am.

I wrote down 8am-noon, don't remember the bait but I think it was Goblin Jig.
