how can i improve my ps4?

I had this problem on PS3 but after I switched to PS4 I'm having no more problems and I keep everything to max anomy connection isn't even that good. Anyway the easiest things to do are changing to ethernet instead of WiFi, reduce or remove the other players graphic effects, it's in the character or system customisation, I don't remember now. If it is still not enough you can reduce/remove the graphic effect of your party members and last you can change from Full HD (1080) to HD (720) but I wouldn't like this idea.

well SSD is never cheap depends the space you need.
I mean 500 gib sounds alot on ps4 "witch is standard " but its not. But depends how many games you have on ps4

ok so a new hard drive will fix load times will it decrease the amount of time it takes me to transfer between zones? like teleporting from md to limsa? i feel that teleporting takes to long on ps4

Ditch the PS and join the PC Master Race. Lol jk jk

Do you have a HDD or a SSD? If you upgrade to a SSD it'll speed up load times greatly.
This includes loading of characters, NPCs, mobs and loading times when teleporting into a zone.

Yup. It'll also decrease the time it'll take to load assets, such as character models in a crowded area, but it won't reduce lag and server latency.
I use one on my computer and don't think I could go back. My HDDs are just bulk storage now.

The longest load time I have ever had on the PS4 was to Mor Dhona during peak and its about 12 seconds. Any other area its never more than 5. Thats with a standard PS4, I guess on larger populated servers it may take longer, but the load times are really fast,for me it seems. I can't imagine a new ssd will decrease it that much to be worth the cost. I guess if you need more space then sure.

While SSD's are not cheap, they are starting to get closer to HDD sizes, one of the biggest issues I had with getting one in the past. I'm sure that you can probably find cheaper alternatives than the neweg.com stuff I linked earlier.

you want a pure SSD, NOT a hybrid drive (their mostly a standard hard drive but with 8GB of Solid State memory) - so yeah make sure its a pure solid state drive with no moving disk platelets/parts.

The SSD as people (and myself on many threads) have said will shorten zone load times, NPC loads, asset/texture/monster model load times and best of all big dungeons/raids/cutscenes also load in a few seconds too. Seriously you'll see the difference the second you load in FFXIV on it XD
