So with all that MP DRK is gonna be new Flash AoE-Aggromonster?

Didn't read the entire thread, but to op. If your tanks are spamming flash to control multiple mobs to the point you run out of mp. The issue is not with the mana pool but with the tanks

If the dark knight page where their listing out their skills is true. It seems that Dark Knight has their own version of flash named "unleashed". But I see them using something like that or flash to maintain hate. Regain mp and then go into Grit stance to DPS the group of mobs. If anything, it seems like DRK may play like PLD, but have more offensive ability. More so if what someone said earlier about the two stances being able to stack is true.

Well one reason flash is useful besides it is a static circle instead a cone, is because it doesn't have to be aimed just placed. So it will have the same practical use as a warrior besides the fact it was mp. Not having to aim an aoe in t4 way back in 2.0 made the fight much more manageable before the aoe adjustment. I wonder though would flash even be on the table with Bloodbath, Mercy stroke, Convalescence, Awareness, Foresight all be up for grabs as well as provoke but drk seems to have their own.

It makes no sense why DRK would be able to CCA Flash. It's a white magic/holy ability. How would that fit into DRK? Overpower, yeah, that's more likely.

DRK can crossclass GLA and MRD. Flash is a crossclass GLA skill. Overpower isn't a crossclass MRD skill. DRK will get Flash.

Whether or not DRK can cross class flash and whether cross classing it would actually be useful are two different things. Remember, scholars can cross class cure - but what's the point when physic has the same healing potency, same mp cost, same cast time, and same recast time? If DRK has its own MP consuming AoE agro grab skill, equipping flash might be a waste of a additional skill slot, even if they are allowed to use it. We'll have to play the class and see... soon, very soon... lol

No, flash does no damage, you should not be flashing more than you have to. Even as PLD, all I do is flash 2-3 times or so and then rotate my combo around. I only flash again if I deem it necessary but that is very rare, only when I get a very geared BLM cuz my PLD is very under-geared.

Why would DRK cross class flash when they already have their own version of it? It's a wasted slot.

That we don't know for sure. the drk skill could also be a cone shaped aoe which requires a target to begin with like overpower. in this case flash has it's uses.

I would be legitimately surprised of it doesn't have a unique pool of CCAs it can actually pull from MRD and PLD. It would make no sense for a dark knight to be able to use a light spell.
