This... is a thing already. If you do a Fate with a class lower than your highest levelled class, you get a 50% exp bonus for the completed Fate.

From another all 50 player... I feel that leveling is too easy in this game.
Don't know many MMOs that lets you go from 1-50(level cap) in 1 weekend of play.
Some people don't like "grind" (which is nothing compared to other games I played), and I don't like having to repeat quests on all those other MMOs where you start a new character for each class you want to play.
Company Issue Engineering Manual is one and there's one for gathering.
Not really relevant because there's no battle craft version of that.
Yeah, leveling one class is cool, leveling a second class is okay provided its a Heal or Tank class. But leveling more than one DPS is pretty damn terrible. I feel like the Armoury bonus should be expanded to way more than a 50% cap. For example, if you have 2 level 50 DPS classes, armoury bonus should be closer to a default 100% exp bonus. After leveling one class there is already just not enough content to support leveling of another without 70 minute dungeon queues.
I feel like this is another area Battlecrafts could have really shined through as a feature, but unfortunately they've been ignored and we're stuck in terrible queues, or farming fates (which loses its time efficiency VERY rapidly when people start fate grinding.)
Like other have already said, don't focus only on one way to earn exp,but vary it with different contents.
Hunting Log, Challenge Log, Duty Roulette, Guildhest, a handfull leves and a handfull FATEs, and log out within sanctuary areas
Don't earn all levels only with FATEs and don't earn all levels only with leves.
There are so many tools to assist in the levelling up of secondary jobs.
- Hunting log
- Exploration Log
- eating food for 3% exp boost
- Log out in sanctuary for the exp boost
- Guild Leves
- Leve Quests
- Dungeons
- FATE's
- For the first 10 levels there are also hats for 10% exp boost
- Mark Bills (the NM stuff)
- and probably more tricks i'm missing
The key is, dont burn yourself out on one type of content, with so many options available now you shouldnt have to.
EDIT:
Looks like most of what I was coming up with is already said now... i'm slow...
Different folks, different strokes.
I hate doing quest, I'd much rather just sit down and grind away on FATEs or repeat dungeons.. On my main, I have done probably about 10 sidequests, only the ones that unlock a feature of the game.
So basically, you're wanting to be able to level up without grinding, and just doing quests. If you really enjoy that, just make alts. It also gives you 2 extra retainers as a nice bonus so you can manage inventory easier.
Alts in this game are not "needed" but having them does help a lot, it's a huge bonus to your MB game too.
If alts aren't your thing, I'd suggest you sit on your exp bar for a couple days while you play your main job then grind out the bonus and repeat. Having the rested bonus should make it easier to level.
So you admit it is possible and the first level 50 nin on Balmung was pretty much 24hrs after patch.
Now take that 1-2 days and split it over a week or 2 (or a month if you really don't have time), is it really that much work?
Leveling in this game is so easy, making it any easier might as well just give you the damn levels for free.
EDIT: and why should MMO stop you from doing that? Because leveling and getting skills 1 by 1 actually teaches you how to play your god damn job. Alot of those FATE heroes are a complete joke in dungeons/raids, unable to keep up buffs or even utilize a lot of their skills.
