When one side brick walls and "hear no evil see no evil"s and is not open to suggestion and needs to dictate their style of play onto others it's elitist and uncalled for. I knew all of that stuff when I made that post, I would be stupid otherwise. You made that post and didn't respond to the numerous threads in order to manufacture opinion. You also didn't respond to any of the points I made in this post. Thanks for the intelligent breakdown of my argument, it's good to know there are smart people who disagree with my opinions. Though just because not all people enjoy what I enjoy does not make it moot, because I'm sure I do not like exactly the same things you do.I don't need you to like the exact things I do. I need you to let me enjoy the things that I like and I'll let you enjoy the things that you like. I draw the line in the sand when we both have our separate cakes but you won't let me eat mine. As soon as you're okay with this design philosophy I'll stop calling you out. Games WILL have to force their own values on everyone at some point in time. This is too broad to respond to. Don't need caps. I can read just fine. That means no one will be 100% happy.Exactly. So why not include the option that makes the most people happy. I'm hoping to get my voice heard, and so things that I agree with can be implemented with hardly any cost to the people who don't want it.But at great cost to their inconvenience and needlessly so all for sake of what you define as immersion. What about other people's enjoyment? What about other people's immersion? In many of your other arguments, you make me out to be an extremist, which I am not.Any opinion that calls for forcing the concept that other peoples freedoms and opinions should be sacrificed in order to fulfill one's own subjective individual interpretation of immersion when their options are left open as well is an elitist, not extremist, point of view. I do not make the demands you say I do. Do you call for the abolition of an instant teleport option even if a longer cutscene is available for your choosing as well. AND SORRY FOR THIS COMPLETELY SCATTERED ARGUMENT.Don't worry I'm thorough. I take each point individually and as a whole. The main reason for this post is:
I like where this topic is going. Perhaps the devs might see these particular ideas from other developers and it might spark an idea of their own. Keep it coming!I like my actual content ideas more. I agree that this topic argument is what fueled the creative process behind those ideas, but I'm more interested in content suggestions in this regard by now not just another argument.
