Invisible shield suggestion?

Devs have already stated that they have no plans to add an invisible shield to the game, however I have been using the Decorated Buckler when I want to use a glamour that imo would look better without a shield (ex. Lightning).

Honestly, though, the concept of an invisible shield is okay to me, except for the fact the way your arm will be cocked as though holding a shield even when you're not. That kind of thing already makes crafters' and gatherers' drawn-weapon /changepose look hilariously bad, and I doubt it'll look any better on an actual GLD/PLD.

Pretty funny I actually think the bent arm looks really cool without a shield! With /changepose it looks like I'm saluting.

Yeah, their reasoning for not having an invisible shield makes no sense. The shield is there, just invisible.

Since they made it clear that invisible shield won't work, then I suppose the next best thing is to have the next best thing. A glass shield:

Just a couple of Double Sabers/Swords from Final Fantasy / Phantasy Star that literally debunk this. They don't look "Rediculous", they look like they're in a combat pose. As far as the effectiveness of it? You'd have to ask someone else. Shinkendo only taught me two handed styles - not one handed.

Silly idea is silly.

Whats the point? If you don't like using shield, play either WAR or DRK as they don't have shields so you dont have to look at shields. A shield is a major part of PLDs weapon set, not a fashion accessory so making it "invisible". Yeah silly idea is silly.

So youa re showing examples from other games that the animations and poses where designed that way, yeah, right. bad example. Or you think just to please a very tiny number of players they should rework all the animations for a silly idea?

The same could be said about all "Emperor's New xxx". Don't like your tank armor? Go play WHM instead!

And, you know, helmets tend to be rather important pieces of defense, not fashion accessories. Guess what we can do with those in the game?

Sure, they're designed not to have shields. But look at the character from FFXIV in the combat pose. He looks no more rediculous than any of the other characters, which was the point of my post - He looks like he's in a combat pose, even without his shield.

Each of those characters "Hold their hands crooked in the air as if they have a shield on their arm" except some of the double saber characters (because that's the 'cool' way to hold double sabers) and they look no more rediculous. Tidus, Lightning, etc... None of them look rediculous because they don't have a shield. Tidus just looks rediculous because he's Tidus. :P

Because hiding helm needs a lot of animations remade.... and I must have missed the helm lob and helm smash abilities too that would need to change to not having a helm showing either...
