I actually really liked it when we could collide with monsters... It just felt more "real". I don't mind not colliding with other players because that could cause massive issues in crowded environments.

I do find it a bit un-nerving that when I want to attack a monster from the back I pull a poltergiest and walk through him!
It would be a billion times more annoying to do a decent rotation on a mob with directional combos if you had collision. So, no.
^ And then people complain about the game being tedious instead of being challenging. If you are wishing everything that makes the game more challenging dead, it's no wonder the only route SE can take is to make everything tedious.
A good chunk of strategy which involved blocking a mob's path is dead because people think it's "annoying" to not being able to run through monsters. Well guess what, for some reason I don't have a problem positioning myself behind a mob without running through it.
I'm happy with it as it currently stands personally!
No problem. All you have to do is wait till it attacks you then move to it's rear immediately. It's all about timing. And you have whole 10 seconds to do it.
Necrobumping because this is really annoying.
I can see why no collision is allowed now, since you can only see 40 people or so and you'd be stopping every 5 seconds because you're waiting for someone to load in. But collision should be reimplemented back in 2.0. FFXI had collision, but if you held W long enough you walked through them anyways. That should be more than enough.
Also with enemies, the fact that they all clip into each other is extremely annoying. Especially in Cutter's Cry, where the Guardian/Marshall (I forget who) spawns right on top of the Princess, so you have to tab to even target them. It's ridiculous. I should be able to click my enemy with no problems.
Lack of collision also makes armor and etc look very shoddily done. For example weapons phase through the WHM's hood and so on.
