Letter from the Producer, XVII (09/01/2011)

hopefully that list is a heck of a lot bigger later, 3 patches and not a ton is going on there event wise, and you know we wont see 1.21 until mid next year at the rate of these patches, especially with it being the job system im expecting them to take a few months at the least.

As much as i respect what yoshi is doing, it takes them a very long time to get things done, and half of it always seems like "prep work" that they will fix later. Its been a year and we are still missing plenty of basic functions and they constantly still use the excuse of "server side issues and codeing problems". I think that should have been #1 on their list of crap to fix.

Omggg! Achievement system! Linked with titles! And intergrated into the ingame UI! Wooot! Now im really pumped. Cant wait for 1.20.

I think 1.21 with the job system is most likely going to be around the middle to end of january but they may be able to knock it out before xmas.

Great letter!, Nice airships! and...... Chocoboooooooooooooooooooooooos~ Kweh~ (Man... I love FFIX, Hot & Cold was so addicting...)

Anyway, not much to say that has not been said already, but ill repeat!, looking forward to the extended version of the airship ride (later on, when ever that is), looking forward to more balance and redistribution of abilities between classes, more quests, NM's, company stuff!. So many nice things coming along, but I still believe this is not yet a game to play full time, so little to do.

Sonic_the_Hedgehog, that's what I've been thinking these past few days after seeing the threads of the person you quoted and thinking the resemblance they have. They may be or not the same person, but is funny still to think about it like that xD

Really disappointed to hear that airship is just a warp with a cutscene. I'll have to wait to see the patch notes to see that this patch is as substantial as it has been hyped to be.

weak newsletter.... maybe i missed something but didnt he said that he would give us a letter with all items being release in 1.19? talking about 1.20 and 1.21 when who knows when exactly 1.19 will come. 1.20 and 1.21 may be december and march fo next year....

Seif, you cant be disappointed of something you knew was coming exactly the way it has been explained and which will be upgraded to a real ride later on, this has been known for months.

Edit: In the remote case you did not know, I apologize, but with the hype chocobos and airships have received since they were announced, I find it hard to believe you, a person who frequents the forums did not know.

I know... I was going to comment on that but just so dumbfounded by some constant forum poster's to forget what has been released in official info channels. Just so that they have something to gripe about later.

Well for then to take this long in between patches, I think we have to consider that fact that, they are revamping the system. I think when it comes to content and stuff like that we should get it a little faster. Maybe additional time for testing and stuff like that.

I am really looking forward to that the new jobs that are coming soon, meaning PS3 version is getting closer. They didn't mention anything about expanding the world map. Which give me a clue that an expansion it's more likely coming with the PS3 version.

Let's all enjoy 1.19 and keeps are hopes high for the future patches.. ^_^

the only thing that really disappoint me it that the jobs are only planned for 1.21 if not after.
