[GATES] Fungah? More Like Dumbgah. . .

It's my favorite gate. It's not suppose to be titan ex or they would have made it as such. You cannot master it and farm it for mgp. Maybe that is frustrating to some, but like someone mentioned above, would you go to a casino and complain at the slot machine? I've been knocked off every time so far, i just laugh and /cheer on the players still standing.

I don't mind this particular GATE so much as the fact that some of it is too strict on time.

This one and the Simon Says-esque one, you have to be there within the short entry time or be completely locked out and wait a long time again for the next one.

I mean, not everyone wants to be inside Gold Saucer all the time, so maybe perhaps make it so that this game has a longer entry time?
Or a second one after it that locks out players who already participated so that people who just barely missed the first entry can participate too.
I mean yes we all know the general times of when the GATEs spawn but not everyone can remember to always go before time starts.

Just a thought to improve the GATE a bit more.

This is fundamentally flawed given that we are talking about a casino/arcade here. The house does not want to make payouts to people that only spend small amounts of time inside the venue and are not loyal to it's policies, that's bad for business. The current system is fair to all players, we are all provided with the same information. Choosing to spend more time at the gold saucer means we suffer with content external to the gold saucer, putting more time into content outside the gold saucer means you suffer with content internal to the gold saucer. That is as fair as it can get.

GATEs always start at :15 and :45 so you can plan ahead. Not only that, but the GATE Keepers will tell you the next GATE so if it's one you don't like, skip it.

Here is something interesting i just discovered. I decided to stay in a single spot for this GATE and did /sit and something weird happened, I got caught in an AOE on the 2nd turn however it only moved me 1/4 the length of the stage, I did not get knock off and it failed me. Bizarre! I believe the rules were don't get knocked off Square enix, not don't get hit... Where is my 1600 mgp?

The GATE text clearly states: Do not get hit. Not: "Dont get knocked off". You could just stand in the middle then.

Anyways. I'd really like to get a partial reward instead of -50 when getting hit in 1-4. But meh, when you win the 1600 are nice to get. Now at least since there's not many MGP to have =.=

To the minority of fans of this G.A.T.E. (like me) who want it to stay like it is now. Did anyone analyzed AOE patterns and their frequency? Is there some spot which has, say, 40% chance of winning over regular 10-20% when standing in any random spot? I got 5 wins just standing near border of the 'outer' ring which (i think) has slightly higher chance than standing directly in the center.

Why so serious? Was my humor not clear enough? I lost fair and square I was just pointing out something about the game that did not work as intended so maybe SE could fix it. Excuse me while I go find a ladder, you're kinda heavy!
