I sometimes feel like I'm among the minority that see things like this in a game, movie, etc and don't think anything special about it. As in it's just normal, as is a hetero couple in everyone's eyes. Like "oh ok, they're a couple", just as I did with Edda and her douchey tank fiance.

It's cool. I totally understand your perspective and mean nothing but respect to your point of view too :) Ideally, I'd love to live in a world where coming out isn't a thing etc. Hopefully one day we'll get there.

I think it's just an awkward translation, just because they are a couple doesn't mean they are together, it is probably meant that they are a couple of travelling companions

Yeah, I say keep this thread open. I'd like to see how the Japanese dialog translates. Maybe we can put this matter to rest once and for all.
