Child/Teenager Characters

I don't think playing as a child would particularly lend well to the context of the game.

Someone should probably explain to this optimistic young lad what happens when you add a child element to a free and open MMO roleplaying game. It just won't be me.

All the races were made into a scaled version of the basic human model. If they'd add the ability to make a short chubby child or a muscular wide human the shallow cover of how races were made for this game would be blown.

Also no reason to bring up the gear issue they are already made by scaling them and there is no reason a fully animated character can't be scaled.

I liked the fact that XI had children running through the cities but to be honest those kids look just like scaled down adult humes to me.

i would of loved different characters to play then the same ones, or more over them plus alot of other new ones and children versions would of been pretty awsome. sob's in ffxi were great, i'd like to see children versions all over the game even if not playable lol.

goblins might of been my top race i think i would of wanted to play :)

but how they made the characters ... maybe was mistake thinking graphics meant more then content and more options. also what were they thinking for later in the future for expansions then? or if game like now isn't doing well how they gonna work with these same issues.

play as a child ? then all the "subligar" need to be remodel because of some kind of "pedophile law" from US if it is not in US the US seem to strongly against it (I know about this situation because Tera have to re-model armor to put stocking to their Ellin because the US say it is kind of pedo) so the best will be no child/teen character.

note: The old Elin armor show the legs while the other race do the same but ppl only attack the Ellin because it look like a child

eww, not in this game but i'd love to see something like ff13 in a mmo any mmo, where we all control like 3 characters, can dress them all diff, can all be diff races and styles ...this i can see happening but not for a very long time lol.

That would be Prishe, Seltheus and the three tarus from COP. Although Prishe was not a kid just unable to age and I'm sure Seltheus was some sorta zombie kid.

That has nothing to do with the USA btw. The changes to the game are a result of the EU release, I don't know the specifics of it or if it even has anything to do with a law but the changes have literally zilch to do with the US of A.
